If the PGA logo on 6 half baked courses pinned to what is basically TGC 2 is value to you then great, knock yourself out.  Forza 4 horizon is out tomorrow, compare the detail, game engine and content of that to the golf grab 2019 and you clearly see what constitutes a triple A game. I have nothing against the game itself, i'm reliably informed that once its patched it will be another step closer to what it should be, and Once it hits steam again with a big discount i will be getting it. The fact remains, its not a triple A product and they should not be pricing it as such, there are way too many overpriced games on steam and its killing the platform.

Lol. Ok, your now comparing a budget that has the backing of Turn10 and Microsoft to a smaller indie style budget? Still value to me. Again, do you think the PGA just handed over the rights to HB for free? Or..... do you think there was a price attached and HB is/needs to recoup the cost?

Ohh. And you do have numbers to back up your assertion that the Steam platform is suffering right? I mean you think Valve would put an end to it if they had the info you had right?

Another $15-$20 off and I'm jumping on board lol.
I buy these games, play them for a few hours then go months without playing again. Wish I had more time to play the 25+games I probably have bought and never finished on steam.

Decided to take a look at this game, and see what all the fuss is about.  Got it installed, went through all the editing options, then out to the practice range.  After trying to hit the ball about a hundred times, I was only able to hit it twice, and I have no idea what I did to accomplish that feet.

My back swing is slow and smooth, m y forward swing is slow and smooth, and I hold the left mouse button down throughout the swing process,  Somewhere along the way, I am obviously missing something, or doing something wrong.

Any ideas or suggestions as to how to HIT ti f***ing ball?

It's crazy that they cannot at least let you guys know that issues raised are being worked on.....unless they are not being worked on.  Such poor communication, they were never like that in the early days of TGC.

You have no choice but to compare, they have labelled themselves AAA with their pricing policy, comes with the territory i'm afraid.

off topic, forza horizon 4 is very good, enjoyed playing it over the weekend...will give tgc 19 a miss..no matter how cheap.

Been playing Horizon 4 demo on Win10 and a nice pick up and play with controller (using my spare DS4) so may pick up the full game at some point.

Graphically excellent and car handling is what you would expect.

Just need to find time to play it as busy with Gran Turismo Sport and Neverwinter on PS4 at the moment.

I agree. Folks complained about how bad the communication was when Maximum Games was the publisher and even HBS seemed ashamed and apologetic... Especially after the contract was up. But this new relationship with 2K is ten times worse in terms of communication.

Game forums are only worth it if the developers interact. Other than that the threads are nothing but cesspools.

Daz, i bought 3 months xbox game pass on kinguin.net for 16 quid, forza is part of game pass and as long as you are running win 10 you can download it.  16 quid for 3 months is pretty decent value, i don't pay triple A prices for games anymore so this is kinda ideal for me.

It's pretty frustrating..

If there won't be a PG 2 for us here (non Sim users), I wish they'd put some resources into building out PG1 a bit more...at least with some more bug fixes if nothing else.

 

Or maybe there will be a PG2...  Getting hard to remain interested though with no news and months just flying by with nothing.

I ended up caving and buying a used PS4 Slim just for NHL 19 (and occasional Rory) - only $180 and the thing was totally mint.

Are you actually wanting one for anything particular? Like Buck says you might be able to get hold of a used/reconditioned XBOX from the previous generation model for a more suitable price.
