Wow - that’s overwhelming..
How do you even remember what it was like to play a given course from a list that large?
Ha, I have a hard time remembering what I ate a couple days ago. ![]()
Some courses on that list I have yet to play. Some courses have been removed from the list after playing and not liking them.
The list is not a be-all-end-all course list, but it's a good place to start. ![]()

It's really hard to filter the wheat from the chaff over there.... but that's the price you pay I guess when you have a design program that allows you to produce stuff so quickly, although a lot of people just auto-generate and crap stuff out in 15 minutes.
I'm just now trying my first attempts at lidar so hopefully when I figure that out I'll start adding some more real courses, probably stuff I've already made for PG although some of those have been done already by other people

Hey DoGgs, didn't realize you have 10 courses published on TGC 2019. I'm just curious are they all courses that were ported from earlier versions? Or did you actually build them in the 2019 versions?

TPC Twin Cities is good but not very correct, I have the lidar for it plus I have been to the course multiple times for the senior tour (was free to get in for about a decade). Not sure what they changed for the PGA Tour stop now.

I find the TGC lighting to a bit "mixed" honestly.
Some angles and situations can have it look amazing...
..and then some others make the textures look atrocious, flat and just sort of "poor".
I think this is why so many designers and "screen-shotters" in that ecosystem love the oozing low angle sunset drenched orange-orgasmo mode for their courses.
That's unfortunately the same scenario where it can be very hard to read the greens/see what you're doing anywhere around shadows.

I loaded two courses in their designer with lidar. One was TPC Michigan and the other was Sandhills. I just used what was already splined out on open Street maps. The biggest down side to that is it seems to really take a hit on the planting meter. But it is pretty neat how it can plant the trees using the lidar. I don't plan on building anything over there. It's just too hard for me to navigate in their designer. When you get around to completing one with lidar you should submit it to TGC Tours forum.

hmm, £18 for pc version on steam again. what is it with the game constantly going on sale every 3 week sor so...trying to get those last few sales before a new game is announced?
do i understand it that you cannot actually play cross platform, but tours can pull data from all platforms and combine them, a la TGC Tours?

It was on sale a few weeks after it's initial release and its been on sale ever since for the most part, i bought it on kinguin for £12. I think that once the hardcore faithful bought it for $50 the drop off would have been severe, hence the constantly on sale status. It was never a $50 game to begin with and they knew that.

Although I have TGC19 installed for a while now, I am frustrated by the fact that the online multiplayer option does not seem to work. It should be very easy but I have not been able to get anything going. When I hit the match making buttons there does not seem to be anybody out there. Compared to JNPG this is a real throwback imo. Why is this?

Not many playing PC Charles, the ones who are tend to be more into designing.
