That's what comes with having a PGA tour license, its pathetic but i'm surprised its taken them this long.  If ANGC have got all precious even about Magnolia then bollocks to them, not a great course imo anyway, iconic yes, brilliant...nah!

I don't think it has anything to do with having a PGA TOUR license, I think it has to do with a Tweet about the updated Augusta National course (and named literally that name) being "@'ed" to "themasters" Twitter page, showing a picture of the course.  I think the wrong set of eyes finally saw it and set the legal works in motion.  ANGC probably never even heard of The Golf Club 2019 until four days ago, when this tweet was posted.

Luckily there are no renditions of real courses like that here in PG!

These TGC designers and their blatant disregard for trademarks must be stopped!

Well, not of any course that would issue a Cease & Desist threat anyway.... although, somewhere deeeeep in my D: drive, I might have one that would  ;)

Gulp... it's a good thing I checked it as it looks like I deleted it!  Oh well, at least now I won't be tempted to break the law with it!  :D  I was going to fire it up again in JNPG just to see how it compares... dayum!

I'd have put an angry emoticon at the end of my previous post if I didn't  :)

There are some dealers of illicit substances around here if you need.
My sources tell me “PM is best”

Comprende senor... there's "more to the story" concerning the Augusta National '19/Magnolia National saga that fits the "PM is best" advice.

I think there’s a conspiracy to stop all those “bumpy” LiDAR RCR courses from being created by the TGC course designers. ;)

Yeah, RMD just can't let that go, can he?  What a non-issue to make such an "issue" over!?    BTW, I have a theory that what really may have made ANGC take action is the fact that ProTee United retweeted a user tweet, wherein he touted the most recent revision of Augusta National 19 that Royce had published, along with screen shots.  Seeing a tweet of their copyrighted course by a simulator manufacturer probably made them pursue recourse.

Maybe Augusta should get their head out of their AARP butt and realize that golf is dying on the vine — even their “hallowed ground” —.

This is the kind of crap people HATE (rightfully) about Golf. A little video game like TGC (or PG or anything non EA) having users making versions of your course isn’t hurting you one single iota..

Why not license it for something South of “ungodly too much money” (which I’m sure is what they want) and stop being such stiff a-holes

Couldn't agree more. I had an older guy bitch at me for having 16 clubs (I was trying out a couple wedges I bought). This was a casual round where I wasn't even keeping score.

That's the kind crap that's killing golf. I'm all for rules and enforcement for tournament rounds, but when I'm spending 70-100 to have fun I don't care about the damn rules. If I want to play a different ball on every shot (I don't) you can't stop me.

Exactly. Some of these people and country clubs are literally just sapping every ounce of potential “fun” out of things.
It’s no wonder it turns off so many people and in particular so much of the youth these days.

They are reaping what they sow in the golf world.

Good luck with ANGC getting a response if they were to pick up on their precious course here, just tell em DoGgs never plays it anyway... It's overrated.

If I remember correctly I said something to the effect of "Well, I guess I'm disqualified" with as much snarkiness as I could muster.
