T,

Would you be doing all this griping about not having access to CF if you actually had access to it? You know, fighting the fight for those not so fortunate, or is it all about you and if you're alright jack, then the rest don't matter?

But if it was offered to you, no doubt you would turn it down as it would mean you were part of an elitist kiss the ring fraternity.

That's just the point. Apparently there is already some private criteria to get into this exclusive group; as evidenced by guys stating that they've had to fall before the developers and deliver materials that would somehow prove their worthiness to use the software.

We certainly cannot have users that aren't afraid to speak up about issues, having access to the crown jewels though, can we?

Which is why the guys that are already in the fold; either become as quiet as a church mouse... or turn into fanboy flame artists, when it comes time to discussing real issues.

No, I'm not willing to shill or troll for anyone, regardless of the software access I may or may not have.

Now, don't get me wrong. I do think that courses that get published for game use should have to meet minimum standards, for release approval. Nobody wants to have to sift through a bunch of broken courses. -- But, that doesn't mean there should be any reason why all interested users can't at least try to use the software, considering that it's working fine to make courses, right now.

You know what i find really sad and frankly getting to the point of not even wanting to read posts anymore is the constant childish behavior of some posters. I'm not going to point fingers because honestly there are too many to point at.

It has been mentioned so many times of not using personal attacks to try and make a point yet once again here is yet another thread that has more then two pages of just that. Instead of rational arguements or comments it seems to be more important to try and score points via insults and attacks.

Honestly  gentlemen (and I'm using that term very loosely at the moment) take a step back and read all of the comments and ask yourself is this  really constructive  or productive? Do any of these comments add anything positive to the discussion or the community? In my opinion the answer is no and as I said it really makes it unappealing to even read posts. I mean who wants to  read post after post after post of personal attacks that have little or nothing to do with the original topic? In my opinion it's getting really old really fast.

Apologies if my behaviour offended anyone else.

I hope that you will see that initially I was trying to make a valid point.

why not fire up Unity and show the dev's what you can do, Then maybe they would invite you in to the CF closed beta?

I have to be honest, many who have been selected to beta test CF had ZERO time and/or skill with Unity.  Not saying they didn't take the initiative to learn it at some point, but many started learning the day they were "hired" and were granted the CF beta .  Good for them.    So, way back in the beginning, you did not have to show the devs anything, they were just selected.

Some golf course designers of other games were also asked, even after the beta closed.. which I have no problem with at all.   Some just have a keen eye for course design, no matter what platform they are designing in.

This topic is about Course Forge... not your personal beefs. -- Honesty, I don't even know why you have beef, to the point that you keep going out of your way to spew personal attack posts in the forums. I don't even know who you are. -- From what I've seen, you're just some run of the mill player that I've seen online a few times. I don't even recall having a single conversation with you.

The only "clown" here is you. You can come here just to spew flame all you want, but just keep running... because you're liable to get clowned on the golf course.

Try to say something intelligent, for a change... that actually relates to the topic that is up for discussion.

Because, like always, you are right on topic. Or do I misunderstand the rules and you are the only one that gets to go off topic?

The only reason I'm responding is because a post is directed directly at me.

No, you don't get to go off topic, and attack someone, without it getting checked... and then claim that going off topic is someone else's problem.

So, if users would refrain from directing posts at other users with personal attacks, that are completely devoid of the topic's discussion... than perhaps we can all just stay right on topic.

So, what do you think about the Course Forge release schedule, or the lack thereof?

I think that Course Forge will be released to the community when the developers decide that it's ready to be relased and not before.

Contrary to your popular belief, I can address responses that are on topic. But, than again, you will probably feel that this statement is off topic.

Sweet.  Now you can add Wannabe Moderator to Wannabe Beta Tester on your resume.  Things are looking up TLVX.  You're going places!

Ever wonder why you have to spend so much precious time defending yourself?

A: Nobody was talking to you. Why are you responding to a reply post that wasn't intended for you?

B: Your assertion that Course Forge is "not ready" has already been proven to have no merit. Plenty of working courses have been released using Course Forge.

C. Come up with something to say that doesn't sound like a script that was written for you. Yes, obviously products are released when someone feels like releasing them.

Again, you're off topic. You were the one that asserted that I was off topic. Hence, you are the, "wannabe moderator."

Maybe you can come up with some more names to call yourself.

Or, perhaps at some point you may go through puberty and learn how to comport yourself in a public forum.

Ever heard of Course Forge?

So are we really gonna sit here and go back and forth discussing stating that we are both off topic?  I know that you're not capable of NOT responding to a post so I think I know my answer but I do find it highly amusing.  Any interaction with you is like holding a mirror up to another mirror.  It's just a gigantic circular reference that will never stop because you aren't capable of NOT having the last word.

You are the one that brought the issue of being off topic up; while going off topic to do it... when nobody was talking to you in the first place.

This is all you, dude. Of course I'm responding to your personal attacks. You can choose to keep spewing flames, that are completely unrelated to the game discussion... and yes, I will keep quoting your pointless gibberish, and calling you out on it.

Or, you can get in the elevator and come out of the basement; and talk about the game... like other people were trying to do before you starting going off-topic, talking complete nonsense, and trying to justify it by how someone may or may not respond to it.

Do you or do you not have an opinion on the Course Forge topic... or, are you completely devoid of coming up with any grown-up human interaction, whatsoever?

Wow really impressive. After my post it only took 3 more before it starts all over again then 11 more posts of the same crap. Bravo guys what an accomplishment.

"Unfortunately, I don't have moderator privileges for this forum. If I did, I'd delete many of the responses." Richard if I had the authority there would be a policy of ZERO TOLERANCE of personal attacks and the first offense  would be a penalty of being banned for a month. The second offense 3 months and the third time would be the last.

This whole issue is getting way out of control and I'm afraid that since some can not or will not be respectful of each other and simply will not play nice with each other then so be it. The only solution left is to simply remove the offenders from the community.  The whole community is being poisoned by this childish behavior to the point the forums are turning in to a joke.

Thanks guys for really taking this issue seriously, like I said really impressive.

just can't believe some of you have not learned to ignore some of these posters here yet.

how long are you going to let them have what they want by stirring the pot, along with yourselves.

if you stop responding the problem will move on.
