Does it work from the console, Warren.  If so, then you can try to get the autoexec file working (or have you already done that?).  Perhaps take out the configuration of the F5 camera, leaving just the 2 lines for the meter colour and see if that works.  Maybe only one dash to start the lines.  Maybe no dashes to start the lines???

I haven't played with the autoexec file, so I'm probably not going to be too much help in that regard, sorry.

I'm not a console player Armand, long time 3-clicker.  Will give all those options a look see tomorrow.

Warren, after playing with these settings in the game console, I've only just realized that you are specifying the default colours in your autoexec file, which is why you don't see any change in colour.  To determine what colour you want to use, check out http://www.rapidtabl...r/RGB_Color.htm

Find the colour you want and then change your autoexec file to match those colours.  For instance, if you make the autoexec file say this:

--game_upColor=0,0,255,199
--game_downColor=255,0,0,199

you'll find the meter to be blue on the way up and red on the way down.

While you can pick colours from that website, you may find you don't like them in the game.  You could continue to adjust the autoexec.cfg file and restart the game 35 times until you find the colours that look right.  Alternatively, you can try different meter colours by changing these values in the console window.

Go to the practice range, and then enter the console from within the game by pressing the ` key (the one above TAB on the left of a US keyboard layout).  From that "console" window, type in the two commands below (do not include '--' at the start, and no '=' either):

game_upColor 0,0,255,199

game_downColor 255,0,0,199

Then, exit the console window (press the ` key again) and hit a couple of shots.  You should see the colour of the meter change on the 2nd shot.  You can play with the colour values in the console to get your preferred colour of the meter (press ` again to get back to the console window).  The console window changes only affect your current session, so once you've decided on the colours you want, you'll need to edit your autoexec.cfg file to reflect the R,G,B values you used in the console window.

Still cannot get colors to change.  When pressing the F8 key, I see this on the first line:

Could not find config file [sceneload]

As I understand it there were problems moving the meter, so it was tabled in favor of fixing more pressing items.

A certain Links 2003 managed it all those years ago. Surely it can be achievable in 2016.

I didn't say they weren't going to do it, there were game breaking bugs to fix

You create it manually.

I have blue on up and dark red down, it's made a great difference imo

I didn't have a autoexec.cfg file in the config folder so I created one using the free cam file that Mike posted, then added game_upColor 0,0,255,199 And renamed it autoexec.cfg and saved as all files. But the color settings keep defaulting back to original color yellow. I did notice that it is saving as a note pad file and not sure if that is correct or how to change it if it's not. But the free cam works slower. Any help would be much appreciated. Untitled_zpsgvc7csmq.pngcomfig_zpsoptamrgb.jpg

I think you should add the 2 dashes before game like:  --game  and also the changes you mentioned and the one in file differs? The one in the file is bright green and I think you want blue with the last value 255

Consider this an official request for syntax for the cfg files from the devs please?

Anyone know how I could change the font to green in the wind meter? That would be nice to do that also.
