That's precisely why I'd be concerned about the Console versions and no performance information actually.
There is a fairly reliable rumor that TGC2 is running well on the PS4 Pro. I'd be happy if it was at least a steady 30 FPS.

Seriously, I'm walking by faith that what JCauthen & DivotMaker have stated so far about their experiences with the new tempo swing will translate to my experience with TGC2.
The vast majority of my gameplay is on my PS4, but since my recent purchase of a mid spec laptop PC with a dedicated NVidia graphics card I'm able to play TGC and JNPG when I'm away from home.
Unlike you and many others, I still enjoy playing TGC1 even using the mouse on the PC version.

Seriously you taking the word of the guy who supported EA sports for years saying every year that TW was great and had no problems?, the same guy deleted any post on the EA forum that said anything bad about EA? i wouldn't trust DivotMaker with anything he says, infact i would go as far as saying his comments are putting me off buying the game he is a complete liability when it comes to telling it as it is.

I just installed TGC back on my system to look at a hole from one of my courses to incorporate into a CF course i played a few holes and damn its worse than i remembered, PG is not the perfect golf game but hell its light years ahead of TGC. TGC 2 will have to go some way to improve from TGC, if they manage it i will be impressed because there is not one thing from TGC that i would bring to TGC 2
Sorry i lied, i would bring the squirrels...they are so cute!

I will be impressed if they do manage to pull it off, i actually hope they do,,,there are some good fellas over at TGCT that deserve a decent game for all their hard work, Doyley especially...good bloke! i'm still not buying it though, PG is plenty for me.

Just 5 more days....I can't wait. A few of the beta testers has said that TGC2 is way less taxing on the PC this time than TGC1 was, but I guess I'll find out soon. That would be a huge change as I've always thought that TGC wasn't optimized very well at all. Even guys with beefed up computers struggle at times with that game's lack of optimization.

JNPG's RTSC is still engaging for me. It's difficult to perfect which gives the game lots of legs in the longevity department. It's a swing that I can groove with for several holes and then lose it slightly. Sometimes I can groove for an entire round and I'll shoot 8 or more under par but those rounds are very rare. I'd say that my average round lately is near par or maybe 1-2 under. A good round for me is 5 or 6 under.
And that is exactly how I like it!!

Mebby if you class yourself as a decent player of TGC then those two weeks will more than likely be a few days, even hours...and that's coming from a very good long time player of TGC, i'm led to believe that the tempo element is not the challenge some people think it is and will be. Lets see how the big hitters fare at TGCT once they settle in. Remember the update we had here, tour scores have not been the same since, will scores at TGCT take a tumble? there lies your benchmark for TGC 2 being able to keep things interesting for months and years to come. I'm not a fan of tempo for controllers, the stick range is not variable enough to make it challenging, and never will be, the controller swing with PG is near perfect in terms of challenging, like you said...it's easy to lose the groove in any given round/day/week and that to me is golf in a nut shell.

With how those have gone, they'll probably spend half of it shooting the sh*t, laughing too much and showing us how you can "polish your gold driver in the society clubhouse"..
I've been so disappointed with the streams and the seeming lack of organization/planning/execution for those.

I didn't realize it was only going to be about the course creator (which I have no interest in), so I just breezed through.
Next week should be fun.
Excited to finally have that NDA lifted so we can hear JC & Divot talk openly about all of it.

I see they got rid of the links theme, highland theme just does not cut it, i thought they may have replaced it with a more realistic version along with pot bunkers, if i was still designing with it i would be very disappointed indeed, no authentic courses from the home of golf...poor show HB

I don't think they've figured out how to do Pot bunkers with their engine yet..
I feel like I read that somewhere over there in spaghetti of endless threads about TGC2 at some point

The imminent release of TGC2 and the excitement being generated makes the lack of PG2 progress more painful to bear. This time next year, who knows, we may be glad we waited for PG2.
Why are you waiting? is £30 a big ticket item for you? for me it like having a good night out no big deal, you can say what you want but the price shouldn't stop anyone from buying both games and have some fun with them, you make it sound like you would be cheating on your wife if you bought TGC2 strange people.

I can't speak to why Nightowl is waiting, but for me it's a matter of lack of information.
I already took the ride with 3 copies of TGC1 and I simply want to know more and see more from impartial sources before buying anything more from HB.
I'm not 100% convinced that enough has changed that will make the purchase worth the price and I don't want to buy something I won't use for very long this time around.
Does that make sense?

Or, this time next year HBC releases a statement that TGC3 is in the works. While we sit here and wait on PG2. PP needs to get a help wanted sign in their window.
