1. I am a parent of a U.S. Air Force Major who currently flies KC135 aircraft and is has been selected to fly the new KC46 aircraft. So don't try to pull the military parent crap on me. I am one.

 

2. I really don't care what dogz thinks of North Americans. He has never expressed  any animosity toward me so I really don't 'shive a git'.

 

3. To the best of my knowledge neither dogz or me have asked each other to become friends. So don't worry about it. But be assured that I definitely have no plans to ask you to be a friend. But of course, your respond will be no. God bless you!!

Richard, it was vitriolic pm exchange over at HB, a kinda you insult my country, i'll insult yours nonsense, it's my opinion of him rather than my opinion of  a nation.  Speaking of nations, he later went on to insult all Canadians in an a public thread, calling them cowardly and weak, he has form for doing this kind of thing.  He just hates the fact that TGC 2 has failed to meet his expectations, when TGC 2 was announced i stated that i had no faith in HB studios to improve the game to a level that was required, it must really stick in his craw that i was correct with that one  He goes out of his way to insult anyone who questions his supposed vast golfing knowledge, and playing the "son in the army" card trying to appeal to your patriotic nature is just the kind of thing he does when he is trying to discredit someone.  He's a proven liar over at HB, shame on him if that statement turns out to be yet another untruth...sadly i'd wager that it is just that...another lie.

@DoGgz, I've never encountered ADX before and I hope never again. You don't need to explain him to me, I could care less. He's just a s*** stirrer as far as I'm concerned.

The biggest bug, and show stopper for me. is the lack of 3 click swing. I won't even look at the game without it. I'm not a gamer and have no need to buy a controller just to play the one game that I do, namely golf.

They moved way past 3C last decade. It was a very intentional design decision. One that doesn't suit you but that doesn't make it a bug! LOL

Bug, design decision, whatever. It causes me not to purchase the game. You go ahead and play with all of your toys. I'm happy playing with my computer, mouse, and my itchy trigger finger. I know that I'm so 'old fashioned' in your mind. To prove it, I just got my first 'smartphone' only because my 'flip phone' finally died and some family members brow beat into it. LOL

I am a little disappointed that the game is still unrealistic from a golfing standpoint. Physics aren't right (spin out of the rough, chips!!). Difficulty of shots out of primary rough and fairway bunkers is way too high. The ridiculous loft/deloft feature (delofted PW flies 200 yards). You cannot hit the ball a bit harder (swing has power limit - JNPG lets you overswing - ball goes a bit longer AND that puts more spin on the ball. Gives more shot making options and makes timing (hitting your power target) more important). There are a lot of fundamentals wrong in the game. Do the devs play golf? If yes, they purposely designed the game unrealistic - maybe to please the casual gamer. That is their right - but it disappoints me.

I am still playing it - but more because of the swing challenge. I am not good at the game and want to get better. In this process i sometimes forget how unrealistic the gameplay of the game is. I like the looks, i like the options/societies, but quite honestly: The gameplay is arcade in a way.

Be nice to see a company like codemasters take on a golf title, HB have a record for poor sports titles, their rugby game is an embarrassment too.  E.A appear less interested judging by the rory game.  Codemaster's F1 2016 is a fantastic leap in F1 titles, its a beast of a game with aids off and full sim,  and they also dabbled in cricket with some success, i think they could def create a great golf game if they wanted to...would love to see the day.

Would need a big shift in direction as they decided a couple of years ago that they now only produce racing/driving titles.

They even have some of the guys from the dissolved Evolution Studios (who made Driveclub on PS4) now working for them.

F1 2017 us shaping up to be another god addition to the series and the recent DiRT4 was a solid release too.

Maybe they could make some golf carts for JNPG.

yeh Daz could never see it happening, it appears that golf games will always be pretty thin on the ground, especially when you have elitist clubs like Augusta denying license for re-creations,  pretty sure PG 2 will be great anyway. I liked PP's vision with regards to career mode, it does not look like it will just be an after thought like TGC 2 career.
