an assortment of different putter's in the pro shop, maybe some different shapes

leave the attribute's the same on all just a different look to break up the cookie cutter mold

of the game as we see it now.n being able to go hat less,or get us a big assortment headgear so we all don't look the same.

make it so we can color our own clothes any way we want or make our own if that is something that could be done.

Sun glasses all kinds and looks. we need to be able to create some individuality. i know this stuff is all cosmetic and just something to do while bored with playing hell with enough stuff to chose from i could spend days just playing with putters.

Put this stuff on a point's system where one could either buy points or earn them in the daily, weekly, and monthly tourneys.

there are so many things could be done to generate some more income,{i know i have read so many time money is not an issue, gotta call BS on that one since in reality it is the one thing that makes all happen in our world.} think about with daily income maybe PP could free up enough bucks to hire someone to do nothing but work on the game. even though i'm not the one to question their business since, just throwing out idea's.

i must add i thought in the gamemakers world the main objective was to get the people to you're game and keep them there as long as you can. with the stuff i listed above it is all big time killing stuff for some ,other's wont care but it should not impede their play what so ever. this is why i believe the course's should all be kept the same place. free course's should be an auto download when logging on this would also stop people from having to chase down a course while in MP. those who may not want the course can just throw it out, they should also be kept up to date so everyone has the current version.

that is sad. at one time yesterday i did notice 93 on but 20 minutes later i looked and was back in the 60s

and on a sunday. thinking people just stopping by to see if there where any upgrades and back out the door, at least that is my guess

developing seems to be also stuck at this point even little needy things are not getting fixed.

3C is the most used swing and look at the complaining about the meter all the time, i don't have these problems but seems lots of others do

who knows where we go from here it is all just guessing.

This thread has been a pretty good read and the forum crew can probably go on and on, extending this thread for another 20 pages... sometimes I think the forums is what's keeping the game alive.

I know all about the "small dev team" and all that and this horse has been beaten to death, but an update every now again from the devs would be ideal.    At the very least, hopefully continue to keep the interest in the game, generate a little buzz of what's to come, and most importantly, boost morale around here.    This has been an issue for a long, long time.   I agree with you 100%, all guessing at this time.   I suppose it is all we can do.

I play this other game more than pg.not for the realism but for the fun factor..it’s kinda far from being realistic but there is never a shortage of multiplayer games of different types ,there is a tour and other playing modes u can do..thing is you playing for something instead of just playing a rd and not getting nothing in the end...if this game had something to play for it proberly be a different lobby(more players)..hopefully with pg2 and career mode it will..

Why not just say TGC2? Surely there's nothing to be embarrassed about that you have to call it 'this other game'.

Mike has spoken on several occasions about where the game might go regards equipment but as the actual development of the game and CF are so slow, I guess these are all on the back burner and will be for many months to come.

Seeing as PG2 seems to be the main focus, I wouldn't mind seeing some options to the current clubs available in PG, just as a cosmetic options. Don't want clubs that hit 10, 20 30 yds further, just some appearance options. I asked in a beta thread ages back if we could have an option of a black clubhead for the Driver and woods (as I hate white) but never got any response.

Things like woods and hybrids having several colour options instead of just the white. Even same with putter. Just something for us to play with, seeing as an update to the game equipment seems a long way off and maybe only a PG2 option and with PG2 itself being a long way it seems, any small crumb would be better than nothing.

People are that way: They want something new to maintain interest. And to be honest: In the case of JNPG .... the game wasn't a full game (considered what people expect of a full game in the year 2017).

- no golfer customization

- no mocap animation

- no real single player mode

- graphics not up to par (looked a bit dated).

Don't get me wrong: JNPG has a very, very good foundation, But we, the fans, maybe overlooked the shortcomings i mentioned above. But there has to be a reason why sales are rather low. Player base is small.

And the small player base is more or less the reason, i have quit playing. I played at OGT for 2 years with passion. But i played against the same 30-40 people week in and week out. Although the gameplay mechanics and the physics of the game are the best of all current golf games it simply got stale for me.

I bought TGC2 and play at TGC Tours now. Over 1200 players. 9 different levels. It just suits my competitive nature to compete against a lot of other players. The game isn't nearly as good as JNPG from a realism standpoint, but the swing with the controller gives me enough of a challenge to keep trying to improve my game and climb up in the standings/tour.

I will buy PG 2, without a doubt. I hope that more players will play it (xbox?) then JNPG.

For me that are the keys for a successful PG2:

- up to par graphics (looks very good from the screenshots we have seen)

- full motion cap animated avatars

- very deep and customizable single player / career mode (like franchise in NBA2K or MLB the Show). People who don't like online multiplayer need a reason to come back to the game every day.

- even better co-operation with sites like OGT or PGLS to promote online competitions.

TGC/TGC2 has consoles. PG only has pc and simulator players(best sim on the planet) We all know the status of pc golf games. PG 2 for Xbox will help close the gap.

i believe this would also help since PP is depending on these off sites, it would be nice to see them get there own forums on here to beat the bushes for new players. should also be up towards the top of the forums right under the course discussions forum, make em easy to find.

Not quite Frank. I have been saying for  a long time that the current game is far from being anything like a finished article and I know that quite a few others have voiced the same opinion. So I can't understand why that message hasn't got through to the devs. It's just another thing they don't want to hear or they hear but don't listen.

Why the need to hide which game it is then? Why say 'that other game'? Is it really that embarrassing?

I think they know quite well. But JNPG isn't there main business. They develop at their own pace. They don't rely heavily on the income the game creates. If that would be the case, the company wouldn't exist anymore.

PP isn't a gaming company. It is a golf company that has a game in it's portfolio. At least that's the way i interpret the lack of urgency.

But that doesn't mean that PG2 cannot be a huge success. Links was played for over a decade - cause it was ahead of the time when it came out and it simply was good. If PG2 is a great game (realism, graphics, gamemode, multiplayer) it will be bought - if advertising works right.

Can they do it? Hard to say. The understanding of golf is absolutely there.

I get where you are coming from. But on the other hand: In todays gaming market you simply cannot stand still. You have to evolve to stay in the business. And that means to upgrade your game to the newest software and hardware standards regularly. And in the process you should enhance the gameplay experience as well - many customers expect that. Look at the big franchises like Madden or NBA2k: They come out with a new game every year.

I doubt that there ever will be another Links - a game that stays the same for decades and is still played. Times have changed - maybe we older guys don't understand it. But if a game is to become a financial success it has to sell 300.000+ copies and it has to evolve, be it through a new version or through good DLC over time. I don't see that if PG2 isn't able to attract younger crowds and casual gamers (consoles).
