YES, Mike and Andrew have never given me any reason to doubt.
Though I do not know them personally, they have been involved in
PC Golf since before dial-up, and have helped evolve the experience for
us all. Hang in there, the best is yet to come....SOON.
Is PG 2 in beta? If not, then is isn't coming SOON.

P.S. Don’t forget that “soon” at PP has it’s own unique definition.

The best is yet to come. Really? To get "the best", we have to move to Windows 10. That's going to make my every day computing experience NOT "the best".

I used to think the same thing about Win10. Now that I've had it for 6mo. I love it.

This summer is 3rd anniversary of the initial Windows 10 release.
At some point a Dev team has to move up minimum requirements.
If PG2 comes sometime later in the year, at release, it's min spec OS is over 3 years old.
That is very reasonable.

Everyone? Nah, some realize that PG1 is over, and PG2 is
close. Focus and Commitment to the parts of the business
that help the lesser parts grow is what keeps the whole from
splintering.
The "info" rings true, to me anyway.
I hope you're right but how is anyone supposed to have ANY hope when we hear absolutely nothing from the Devs? All summer long all we heard was that they are busy with the PGA Tour season. OK - most could understand that. It's the middle of f'n winter now so what's the excuse that we are supposed to believe? If they aren't working on PG2 right now then when will they?
This is impatience or ungratefulness or any of that so please don't throw that garbage back on anyone. This is just a fan of the game seeking information. ANY information. All we have to go on are facts and the facts certainly do not point to favorable conclusions.

I'm logged in but unfortunately I also get the don't have permission to view this error message. Perhaps you could provide a few highlights of the conversation? While nobody knows when PG2 will be ready, NoPutt is correct that PG2 is being worked on and it's is coming. If you haven't seen it, check out his Q&A with me recently on OGT Discord.

are you logged into forum? i was and could read this. when i signed out it would not let me
The following is a transcript of some of the Q&A with Andrew of PP that happened recently on OGT Simulator Discord chat. Thanks again Andrew for taking to time to come chat with the JNPG simulator community. It was very much appreciated.
Q: Are there plans to change the simulator pass subscription model or increase prices?
A: There are currently no plans....We just released a demo pass and have asked Skytrak if they would do the same
Q: What licensed courses if any can we expect to be available in 2018?
A: One of the great benefits of our relationship with TM will be a flood of new licenses courses that will be released. As to prices for courses I don't see any reason for us to change our approach to pricing at this time
Q: What is currently happening with PG2? Can you give us a rough estimate on when you expect PG2 to start beta testing?
A: We have completed the perfect engine code upgrade, with the new Networking and the new Web-socket communication layer. We have reintegrated an all new method of handling the game play (ball based rather than player based which will significantly reduce the bugs in modes like alternate shot) We have reintegrated the ball flight and physics and are now working on the new UI for the game (which you will see in the TM Sim at the PGA Show)
Q: Will you be allocating more resources in terms of staff as a result of this change?
A: We already have, we have a full time Unity UI developer developing the new UI for the game
Q: Lastly, can you talk about your overall direction and vision for JNPG simulation? In terms of new features/game changes? And any plans for a club fitting mode on the range and/or ball/club data interface on the range?
A: That's a tough one to answer. What I can say is that we will continue to integrate JNPG into many of the TM software solutions. Those of you with TPS will already have seen our range used to replace the long standing graphics that were in TPS

Or maybe Mike and Andrew are sitting together in front of their computer eating Cheetos and drinking Mountain Dew saying "He he he... we got them worked up now!" Or else its the much more boring conclusion that they're just too busy.

No one can be so busy that they can't take a couple of minutes to write a post.

The interview, that Slice posted, reinforces my belief that PG2 will be basically a simulator product versus a PC or console product. I hope that I’m wrong but I think that it would simplify PP’s life, not having to shoehorn multiple platform capabilities.
Has felt like that for a while and it seems more momentum is gathering in that direction for sure. It's where the money is for them on the gaming side.

yea i have been thinking the same also maybe PG2 will be targeting the sim players
if that is the story, i sure hope they keep PG1 going for the computer crowd
would be a shame to see it go away.
after all there is still a bunch of good money could be made off of PG1 stock the proshop with buyable items
and start spitting out some pay to play course's. start really collecting on a season pass.
bunch of money out there to be got.
start running more tourney's use some of the pay to play courses to promote sales.
right out the gate i would pay 40 buck a year to play this in it's current state, sure
a bunch of other's would to.
lots of money to be made

Spoken from a position of being in the shackles of NDA? I don't know. All I do know is that I've only played 4 rounds in 2 months and spending less and less time even looking in the forums. Would love to be surprised at new developments if they are forthcoming.

It does seem to indicate PG2 is still in the works but it is difficult to get excited over a new version when news about it is virtually non existent and I have seen just a few screenshots of what is supposed to be coming.
I guess patience is still the operative word here but a nice update from AJ or Mike would be appreciated by many.
Thanks...
