Said they are getting much much closer to releasing the update apparently

Smart move if the current state of PG isn't satisfying you.

I'll be trying out Rory, but no PC option definitely keeps me on PG for the long haul

Sorry, I can't stop laughing at the fact that EA is doing another golf game... or still doing any games for that matter.

Well you have fun with that. Not a knock against another golf game, that's always good for the market/consumer, it's just that's it's EA and as my cat even knows - EA is the bane of the gaming world.

I'm also really curious to see what they have in mind to make the grass a little more 3D-ish...

A while back they teased that they have something in mind that I would be excited about :-)

No rush - All in good time.  Hopefully U5 version is optimized a bit better to take advantage of resources.

 

It's really silly my machine can't have all settings on max - CPU and GPU both have LOADS of idle resources when I put everything on 4k/max, yet I get stuttering and only 45fps or so (despite the CPU/GPU claiming they aren't even breaking a sweat) - Sort of a buzzkill
