Yeah. I kind of like the idea of playing the 72 hole tourneys over the same days as the real tour. I was extending them to a week to give as many guys as possible a chance to complete their tournament but, let's face it, if you are keen you'll whip off the rounds in four or five days.

That means I can fit in a mid-week one round handicap Chicken Run for a bit of fun.

Teddy,

Thats what I would prefer, but I think opinions from the Pro/A Grade crowd would help point you in the right direction.

Also...Robbiet71 post your round 3 - I'll give you the intel on round 4 (its very challenging).

Probably the best way to go is to follow the regular PGA tour schedule from Thursday thru Sunday as that is what most prefer. Unfortunately that will take me out of it as I leave every Friday at noon and don't return home till late Sunday night and I won't have enough time to play my rounds but I will play what I can and not a big deal to me. I spend my weekends at the beach and that is when I play my real golf and I can't and won't change that. Even still my vote would be for the Thursday thru Sunday..

I'll have a word with the committee G. Failing that I'll take it to the PGA and call in some favors. I'll insist they make an exception for you....wait....BEACH !!!

Round 3 64 (-7) Grade A ...that was a crazy round of golf. I must have been chipping from the rough just beyond the fringe on 12 of the 18 holes. Twice I chipped in. The ones where I hit the green I putted in one. Wish I'd kept count of my putts but it must have been some kind of record, certainly for me.

Been playing a lot of PRO recently in competitions so playing at Grade A feels a lot safer. Still challenging though...this was just a good and slightly bizarre round of golf.

Round 1: -4 (67) I have to admit....after playing the previous tournament in MAX/MAX this was pretty tough. Was 3 over after 7 holes but then made 4 birdies in 5 holes to turn the tide. Also really pleased with my 3 chip-ins form off the green...it was one part of my game that I wasn't happy with lately.

R3 - 67 - 3C - MIN/MIN BLI.

Off of the green is not too bad but putting is keeping me thereabouts. Not a bad thing 'cos a lot of putting practice from all over the place is going to help in the long run.

Great round Robbiet71.

Round 4 should challenge you some.  Holes 1-4, 7, and 18 are good birdie opportunities, 10 and 17 can turn into triples real quick.

Good luck with your round.  I've already played my 4th - I'll post when I get off work.

Round 4 - 69 (-2)

I played this Saturday night, and waited for the rest of the field to post through round 3.  I hit more good snaps than bad, but the extra bounce from 5 firmness made any long iron approach next to impossible.  So....the plan was to birdie the short holes (1, 4 ,7, and 18) finishing the front 9 at -3. First bogie at 10 after a 30 ft chip that just missed and rolled back to my feet. Played conservative until 18, planning to layup and knock a wedge close for biedie - just didn't exicute the putt. Very tough but satisfying -2.

Thanks for another fun outing, Teddy.

Teddy,

I think robbiet71 has the game to take first - if he posted the low round 4 in doing so, would be worth the story.

Those pins were tucked in some very tight places and made it very difficult to get to but you have to admit it was quite a lot of fun plotting your way around the course vs just letting it rip and shooting a crazy low number like during max event. I can only hope I can play four good rounds next event instead of the old bad one good one syndrome I have been in.

Round 2: -6 (65) Had it to -5 after 7 holes and then the wheels came off. But managed to recover and finished up nicely.

Round 3: -4 (67) Tough round but the birdie, birdie finish helped things a lot.

Teeing off 2.30pm uk time. Could be some tension in the arms today. Staying in the present is going to be key.
