Okay...so I decided to move on to Pro grade for this tournament and I am pretty pleased with the result.
Round 1: -3 Could easily have been 5 or 6 under had it not been for a few lip outs. What I like about this course is that if you put you ball on the right part of the green then the putts are very makeable.

I only saw now that the tournament starts on the 1st.....my bad. Gives me some time to practise.

Yep, all good Reynhardt. Your score is in and accepted if you like. Nice round.

Round 1 - 67 (-5)
First birdie at the par5 4th. Odd occurance though - from the 4th to the 8th all of my approaches stayed on the greens, and all of the putts were no-break and no elevation change (bug with Willow?) I made a 7ft and 29ft, missed a 33ft, and made a 6ft. Front at -4, no bogies.
Started the back by making a 17ft uphill for birdie (watch the way point on the T-shot - it can send a good "snap" into the water). Firdt bogie was at 15 (3 putt). Layup birdie on 17 to finish.
The steep downhill slopes, just off the fairways with its tall grass, just doesn't slow down wayward shots in a realistic manner (my mental note to send to MJ later)

I agree. An underrated course with plenty of danger for the unwary but an interesting and challenging layout. JMK - not a bug with the putting - there are quite a few level putts which makes a nice change. Plenty of opportunities to putt from off the greens due to some beautiful manicuring by the green staff.
I hope K11 won't mind me mentioning a pin position on the 18th. It is probably on the Difficult setting and it is the position on the far left of the green looking from the tee. The hole is cut on a ridge with a severe slope away from the hole. It's very hard to stop a putt near the hole. The local rule if you encounter this is to give yourself two putts and walk off to the castle. (The bar is on the second floor, eastern corridor, eighth door on the right - go through that room averting your eyes from the equipment in there and the bar should be in the next room).

Hi All,
I just played round 2, and am going to hold it for a while until other round 1 scores start to show.
A few observations - there seem to be 4 sets of "medium" pins that get rotated as a group. One of the sets has some severe slopes near the hole (#1 middle pin, #2 front pin, and #3 front right). I avoided this set and played 2 of the other 3. Just relaying this intel so we're all playing on equal terms. Also...some of the T-shot way points can send you in dangerous directions - its best to do your own aiming.
Happy golfing!

Rightio. Thanks JMK. I'll go out soon for my first round and check things out.

Greensboronclion (can I call you something shorter?),
I didn't see many double breakers at "medium", until the set of pins I avoided (didn't seem like fair hole locations at 5 or 6 stimp).
I'll probably get in a few rounds at the "difficult" pin locationns before Sunday , so I'll pass that same pin intel on to our group ASAP.
It would be cool / nice / respectfull (I'm rambling) if the top four from the last tournament would offer tidbits of advanced intel on the round that would help the folks that are new to Grade A and Pro aids.

A solid round. My swing is grooving nicely. Adjusted for a little push to the right. Birdies on 4, 8, 11, 14, 16. Avoided trouble. Hit to mid green and made a few putts.
I didn't find any evidence of slopey pins this round. My tips are (I've placed the top six from last tourney into 1st Division - they'll be shown on the leaderboard here) putting from off the green (on "FAIRWAY") is advantageous and don't mess with the 17th.
I'll get the leaderboard up now.

Thank you very much.

I don't mind you mentioning it at all. Your reservations re. that placement have been noted. Willow Heath needs a full U5 upgrade anyway, so expect many changes in rather distant future, because first the dust needs to settle on U5 PG and U5 CF.
The dead flat putts annoy me a lot. Enjoy them while you can, some very slight breaks will be added with time. Due to technical reasons I only had very little opportunity to test play the design (I wasn't able to create a build by myself) and had to err on the safe side on the greens - or in some instances fail on the wrong side.
(The bar is on the second floor, eastern corridor, eighth door on the right - go through that room averting your eyes from the equipment in there and the bar should be in the next room).
You may freely stare at the equipment, absolutely. My collection of authentic medieval porn implements - with live demonstrations by the kind ladies from the local Dungeon Recreational Society - is the largest and most comprehensive outside of Arabia.

There are in fact 3 sets of each difficulty. A total of nine pins per green. And these probably get selected randomly for each game (which, spoiler alert, might distort the scores). This is due to the fact the WH has large greens with many electable positions and that - despite my enquiries on the subject - I was not instructed about the recommended numbers of pins to be planted for each course.
This issue will be amended as well when I upgrade the place (or if).
Also...some of the T-shot way points can send you in dangerous directions - its best to do your own aiming.
The Shot Points on the long hole are not set to facilitate your aiming but are planted according to regulation at the spot in the middle of where the fairways bends. This is not necessarily in driving range - would be rather dull if it were - and "doing your own aiming" is something I recommend you do anyway, on every golf course, real or virtual.
Thank you all for playing Willow Heath.
Thank you Ted for including it in your rotation.
