Final round should be Difficult pins Stimp of 13 Gusty wind with realistic greens. Yes I am Sadistic.
You might get your wish, Dorothy. The Final isn't in Kansas were your little dog Totto can save you. John

My Final round... with Greens...playing Pebble Beach and whilst it wasn't as pretty today, it was a little smoother for me, only just... It was enough to hit a below par score, which I'm happier with..!

GreesB... you played well in parts, as I expected you to. However, those putts of yours, short, or lipped, cost you several strokes. Sometimes you just need to roll it near enough for Par.. and if they drop, they drop... Those that were left around 5-10ft short, will eventually cost you. You didn't play badly though, as this course can be hazardous simply keeping it on the fairway.... never known PB to have so much roll on fairways...

Good shooting Ian and you are right my putting has not been good the last few rounds and to many long come back putts for par but I am like a riverboat gambler and cant help myself? Just played a round at TPC Avenel and putting those greens I do believe has helped my game as they are a beast. I will play Pebble probably tonight and see if I can better my 74 and I hope your lower also. Great round and keep it going.

It's fine just posting the scores Alan. Nice shooting.

Alan - great shooting. Why did we put you in Flight B? Your team is giving Joe & Remers a good run!
You can delete some of your old attachments by: 1) left click on you user name, at the top (where you login). 2) click "setting". 3) on the left side click on "manage attachments". 4) delete some of your older scorecards or pics.
Also... for Round 2, LLT can "pair up" either Torrey or Cypress.

Ha ! Easy answer to why I'm in Flight B.....I played like crap in Frett I ![]()
Also getting a lot of lucky breaks, saving and birdie putts that normally do not fall in....but I am not complaining !
and just in case any questions: (Thanks for tip on attachment cleanup)

New innovation and subtle hint on the leaderboards...
Names and scores that are 'greyed-out' still have reverse rounds pending for Torrey Pines.

I don't think anyone needs the full instructions any more but I'll put a simple instruction post in #2.

Well Ian the Pebble Beach round is in the books and we both had an interesting round. First your 2nd shot at #9 was a thing of beauty as it was about a foot away and I was in that clump of bushes left of the green admiring it trying to figure out how to hit something you cant see. Well after a hack at it went about 3 ft I hit a great shot to about 5 ft and promptly lipped out and made double bogey. This was after lipping out for birdie inside 8 ft at #7 and #8 and the one on 7 I saved the shot as I still cant figure how it did that. And at #16 I didn't see you tee off but I saw your 2nd shot from the fairway with you standing right next to the flag and what in the world was the flag doing there and on the green. Some weird things happening during recording. We both made nice pars on #17 and we got to 18 I was up by 1 and both easy 3rd shots and I skulled my lob shot and then hit my 4th to 4 ft and thought a par is good but old Mr Lipout showed up again and the round was over for me and you made your birdie. These constant lipouts are just getting to be a pain and some are justified but I am sorry you cant even look at the edges and its a miss almost always. Below are the scores and its on to Cypress Point.
Greens 39-35 =74
Ian 36-37 =73

I'm going to keep score of my lipouts G. I get them but can't recall how often. I might do a 'record shot' for scrutiny.
Posted 26 January 2017 - 01:31 AM
G - Just to clarify. Your entire paragraph was about Pebble, but at the end you say the scores are for Cypress? John
OK G, the scores were for Pebble. That will go in as your 3rd Round, when its posted. John

Posting my last playable round.
Pebble Beach.
StoneComet - you can play either my recorded Pebble or Torrey for Round 3; the other will be Round 4.

Ted, Greens,
I did some advanced scouting for the Final Round.
Just played Bandon Dunes with Gusty wind, Dificult pins, Stimp 13, Real greens, Normal fairway and greens. Only real change was 2 ft gimmies.
Shot a -3 with 5 birdies, 1 bogie, and 1 double bogie (lip-out on a pin cut into a sloped hill). No real dangers from OB: some Dificult pins cut into sloped hills. I think 2 ft gimmies are a must for the non-3C players ( at least 5 pins will lip-out). Will need to practice at Stimp 13 to get the slow green of Rounds 1-4 out of your system. Very undulating fairways and greens. I think this would make a great Final.

Yeah, agreed J. Good choice.
The only thing is - if you have gusty wind it's not always from the same direction as far as I know. It doesn't worry me personally but it's something to consider.

I blame Greens (his Kansas Twister scenario).
