Hi All,

I wanted to post an updated scoreboard, inclusive of Remers's last card -

Greens - no rush on the scorecards, only two teams are even ready for Round 2.

LLT & Alan - you have "half" a score at Pebble, so you can finish that or play Torrey.

Armand & JC - finish Torrey.

Joe & Remer - your Pacific Dunes is complete as Round2, will show in a day or two.

Everyone - if you want to start posting scores for Rounds 2-4, I'll keep a running total in my spreadsheet.

Once we get close to a wrap on Round 1, the scoreboard and Tounament should progress quicker.

Maybe start the final next Monday or so?

Sam - what courses were the two cards you just posted?  John

Thanks Sam, I thought  I saw the first one before.

Great team round!

Sam & Ted - you have a "half" round each at Pebble and Cypress - complete the one you want as your Round 2, and post.

John I am terrified to play round 2 as I have developed a slice like a banana and got a severe case of the yips and that's only the half of it. My caddie is praying for rain. Lol.

G - take the night off, find a good beverage, and Aaron Rogers it (relax).

Your team is well ahead of the pace.  You've got "half" of Round 2 done (CP), and its looks like all your recorded rounds have been put on MEGA.  My team's not that far. yet.  Rain - I think we both have seen enough the last two days.

John after the whopping my Steelers took last night I might need something real strong as what I had last night didn't do the trick.

Joe,

Glad to see another Engineer playing (and playing well).  I'm a BSME and MSAE from University of MD;  coming up on 37 years with the DOD.  I look forward to going 1v1 with you.

StoneComet,

I played your Cypress last night for our Round 2.  Well played sir (from outside 5ft anyway).  Both Torrey's are up.  I'm off to try Pebble tonight.

Pebble is now up.

I just played your Torrey.  If you play mine mid-week-ish, we'll have Round 3 done.  Then attack Pebble.

Looking for a Monday-ish Final?

JMK59:

I have only played my solo round at Pebble, I have not played against LLT's recorded round so not sure what my PB score will be....

My post for Torry Pines is only my best round for the course. It may not be LLT's best.

I was a bit slow starting my rounds and playing against John's round at Torrey Pines, but now the tides have turned and John (JCat04) has a bit to catch up to where I'm at.  I'm in no rush, though.  :)

A week or so ago, someone posted in a different thread (I think) about "playing when I want" rather than "when I have to".  I wish I could find the post, but it is exactly how I feel.  I like to play on my own schedule, which is why I haven't participated at OGT or PGLS for several weeks/months.  Sometimes, I'll play 6-10 games in a weekend, but other times, I won't play for 6-10 days (or more).

[Off-Topic]  As Joe may recall, I'm a civil/geotechnical engineer (U of Alberta) and worked for 14+ years in materials/geotechnical engineering (7 yrs in the arctic doing diamond mine-related projects and permafrost engineering).  The last 10+ years of my career have been in mechanical/process engineering (natural gas compressor/infrastructure projects mostly in Canada, but several in other places around the world - northern USA incl. Alaska, Indonesia, Nigeria, Australia).  [/Off-Topic]

I'm exhausted after that round. I guess you'll get better at scrambling when you can't drive and can't hit a green.

You played the last hole beautifully Terry for your birdie. You deserved an eagle.

Anyway, we improved.

Alan - the post at the top of page 7 indicated that the card (a -3 and -4) was for Pebble.  Is the correct?

LLT probably played your recorded Pebble, and posted the card.  John

Armand - very cool!  I thought you might have a science background from reading some of your posts.

Also... if your team finishes up Torrey (Round 1), you'll have time for a break.

Ted - just played Stones round at Torrey; same thing didn't find a fairway until the 12 hole. Half my approaches end in greenside bunkers.  I think somebody "pushed" a physics patch because I can now "thin" the ball ever-so-slightly, and still get decent yards.

I've been keeping tabs on the scorecards coming in - do you want a copy of my spreadsheet, you know "to keep me sane"?

John
