@Frank, don't think that Trackman needs PP to offer serious Golf Courses and Software.

scroll down on the Site and have a look about the Courses ;)

I live in a condo now and no place to put a simulator but if I could I would have one in a heartbeat.  Fantastic looking unit and to be able to build one in lets say a family or sports room is just as good as it gets and I imagine the hardcore golfer would have to get one of these especially in the snowy north.

That page is still showing the old Trackman Simulator with Trugolf's e6 software.   The new Trackman Simulator is using JNPG with JNPG 2 UI.  See the pic I posted in the simulator section.

JNPG is much better than e6.

Per Andrew, PG2 will be playable on pc(mouse/controller), Trackman, Skytrak, and other launch monitors, just as the current PG1.

Interesting.

I wonder if Trackman's involvement will have any impact on how the community creates and uses courses that aren't official PP releases.

Not saying it would, just thinking out loud here.

Wow - Trackman really bought PP?

Is that public?

If so, now I really don't understand why Mike or Andrew (or a Trackman rep) wouldn't just post an announcement to that effect so we'd all, understandably, retrain our line of thought on things/expectations, etc.

Assuming a PC version continues, I actually find this news to be sensational!!

Please can someone explain what this means and why nothing official has been announced?

Does this also mean that an Xbox One version of PG2 is still being developed?

LOL!  So Trackman buys PP and zero communication happens on here?  Sheesh!

Explains a lot actually.  Clearly the focus has been and will continue to be on the simulator front.  It's the same core game (I think) on the simulator and the PC so it would seem that PC players will get the same updates as the simulator players but the devil is in the details.  There are things that simulator guys care about that PC guys don't and vice versa.

It would seem to me that future improvements to the following areas (at a minimum) will be on the back burner or in the trash:

3C, MS, RTSC enhancements

Updated avatars to get us out of the 1990's

I would be interested to hear the comments of previous posters who defended PP! I feel a little angry that this debate was allowed to fester without someone involved in the buy-out commenting.

No need to yell, lol,

I stand by my post about the PP quasi-mission statement on Steam.

As for the second part of your statement, I'm in the dark.

I do believe that this game, in any form, cannot evolve without Mike and Andrew,

and I suspect we will be hearing from them SOON.

I am sure something will be released when the time is appropriate by TM.  Not PP.

This reminds me of Access Studios and the Links franchise being purchased by Microsoft.   We all know what happened with that.

come on peeps, what did you pay for pg? and how many hours you spend.....

i dare say that was a very good investment.

no one can tell yet, what this change in ownership will do, at least trackman is a very well respected and good golfing business.

personally i think it would be wise to totally drop a console version.....heheeh some wont like that idea.

we will see what happens, lotsa other stuff to do.

Sometimes when there's a "corporate takeover", there will be NDAs and both parties arent allowed to comment on the deal in public. I wonder if this is whats happening here?   Then again, it shouldnt be against any laws to just mention the deal briefly...

(Who found out about this and how?)
