Dave, for the time being it's practice on the course but we've been told that fully functional practice area is in the works. Please don't ask me when?

Have they finished planting on this course? Looking at the overhead, there are considerably less trees/bushes in the Unity 5 screenshot compared to the Unity 4 one..
Good to hear about the putting change. Sounds more like the TW08 for PC putting system.
i liked the meter in TW. Had dots roughly and I do emphasise the word roughly 10 ft increments on the flat, faster greens or down hill you had to use your judgement on how much to take off and of course you had to judge on slower greens and uphill how much more to add but it was a guide at least. I also liked the little graphic they had in the bottom to show if its up hill or down instead of the bli which you have to move around. Less accurate then the bli but also less time consuming then going to different spots with the bli. Speeds up game play usng the TW system.

If you notice Glenn, in TW's, when you make your first click, the meter actually goes backwards, then goes forwards, I was wondering if that might give us the little bit of extra time needed on the short putts.. But, it is really to soon to tell, I am really liking the new putting system and you can make the short putts.
So I haven't pointed that out to the Dev's just yet, (the way TWs meter first goes back, then forward) as I am still checking out this new system...

There is nothing to stop coursebuilders creating courses with refractive water. We don't because it uses a lot of performance which might be better spent in other areas. Once again I have to disagree with people who think the water and surrounds in 'the other game' looks great. It looks cookie cutter to me with every pond having a shoreline which is just not the way it is on 90% of real courses. The only time i really see refraction on a lake is when im looking down close to the edge of it and that scenario just doesnt occur that often. How many times have you seen refractive water on a pga tour course?
Fair enough Mike - Maybe just "something" can be done with how the water looks where it meets shorelines?
It's one of the most unrealistic looking areas of the game imo.

It's 8 in the morning and I love it... We're in the mountains remember. But no harm in a little fine tuning...

Fair enough - I live in the mountains and just sharing...it's too blue and looks a little cheesy (TGC) to my eye.
Might also be monitor settings.
Would love some in game sliders still for tweaking that sort of thing in the future.
(I'm sure others here live in the mountains also - no need to start a back and forth...please...)

Now here is one, same time of day but with Dynamic Skies off. Why can't we have a back and forth, were adults here.. you could be right, I do have colorblindness and just went outside my house and this pic looks much closer. So I can agree that maybe the other pics are to dark blue but they sure look vibrant... Peace

Haha - We can all totally have back and forth - I was just teasing. Hate it when threads de-rail on dispute.
So excited for the updated release! Looking great!

Amazing what devs are up against. One person tells them the sky's too blue and I just got done telling Andrew how I loved the look of the bluer sky.

Hey, I loved the look of the bluer sky too and every one here has an opinion, so I just put it out to the testers and the devs to see what they think.. That way ws get an consensus from more than just one person.. You know as well as I do, one person is not going to sway the majority, so let's see what they all think? Cool? I'm at a disadvantage as I have color blindness so it's hard for me to say for sure.. But my first thought was Wow!!! I'm only one person though..
