Sky may be a touch blue, but it's better than being too white/grey as it currently is.
The time of day is set to midnight so you wouldn't see white or gray skies.

Amazing what devs are up against. One person tells them the sky's too blue and I just got done telling Andrew how I loved the look of the bluer sky.

I too thought it looked nice. I guess it all depends on the time of day/year you are playing but I remember playing at Banff Springs in the late fall and early afternoon tee time and the sky was all of that blue and even got more richer as the afternoon wore on. I can remember being at the Tee on about the 14th hole and looking up and seeing the mountains masked in shadows looming so majestic against the deep blue sky. It was a little erie in a way but breath taking at the same time.

I guess my point is that super deep blue like that is a fairly rare situation and shouldn't be the default scenario or setting necessarily.
I'm just hoping we can get some graphical controls in the game settings to allow a little tweaking of that aspect.

The sky is also too brilliant for the terrain - need to pull the contrast down.

I'm liking the looks here a lot, especially pic 1
...but do I see some billboard tress in there still actually? (shots 1 & 2)
All in all I just can't wait for the update to drop!

My monitor is color for a reason..lol
I like it with dynamic skies, I don't need no drab colors to make my day dull.
Here Here! Too many complaints in the past about washed out colors. The more vivid colors of both sky and grass is a welcome sight.

You may occasionally see a billboard as the guys have had to replant all of the courses in their entirety, and have admitted that they may have missed a few. Or just possibly they have left a few around the perimeter for added depth. (my guess).

Right on - Totally understand.
Just curious since the "billboards being gone" sounds great to me!

here are a few from the update.
The pics look great Rehit. I think you guy's have found the right balance between real world and what you would expect in a golf game. I like a little color but not to the point where it looks cartoon like. When the update is released I think people will be pleasantly surprised. Keep up the good work!

Is there any rough target for the update release? i.e. early June? late June? July?

I'm glad to hear Mike say that they are continuing to look at options for 3D grass. I feel like if they could add that into the game it would really go a long way.
I love how the bunkers look in U5!!
I also tend to agree with Mike on the uniformity of shorelines and refractive water. However, I WOULD like to see some of this implemented - maybe just not so uniformly as it is in the other game.
But on both of these items - if the team is responding to them then it's obvious that they are considering them so I'll trust their judgement as to whether the benefits of working this cosmetic improvements into the game are worth the trade offs that they are surely analyzing.

Whilst the PP blue may be a little too Royal, it's not that far from what is sometimes seen in the skies.

Looking out of my window at work (I'm allowed, I'm on lunch) the sky is very similar to the 2nd pic Rehit has posted. Very nice blue with a few clouds.

Easy to understand, Mike is located in the UK where 'royalty' abounds.
