But my first thought was Wow!!!

That is *precisely* the trap to avoid.

TGC fell right into it and the game looks like it takes place in fantasyland (or as I called it "Sunset Orgasm").  Over pumped skies, nitrogen doused lime green grass, etc, etc

I spend a ton of time looking at sky color stuff tweaking my XPX and P3D flight sims with RealTerraHaze and ReShade (respectively) and it's so easy to think the world and settings are far more saturated than they really are in tons of scenarios.

Morning skies are blue, but not usually that dark of a blue and when they are that blue it lasts a very short period of time before the sun is severely lightening up all the sky shades.

There's a reason so many photos try to hit the AM/PM golden hour times....it's saturated, well balanced, and doesn't last long at all.

Finally - it's way beyond the purview of PG, but of course all of this is very impacted by location, weather, season, air quality, etc, etc.

All good points Buck.. I again went outside and indeed the sky is like my last pic.. I think you may get that real blue early in the morning or evening like you say, I haven't tried Dyn Skies at noon so let me do that and see what happens..

Well, here is noon time dynamic skies on and I have to say again, I do love it!! That's just my opinion though and I hope this does stay in...

Sorry, but I really do like the look... Of course, don't give up just because of what I think..

Sinewiz, I have to agree with you brotha, this does look gr8...

@Buck, I'm not knocking your thoughts either, by all means you have a right to them and you have as much pull around here as I do so by all means, voice them...

Sorry about the back and forth but I think we did it in a good way... :)

Thanks for all the sweet pics guys.  A substantial upgrade for sure.  Hopefully it is not too much longer before the update is available for the masses.

The shots look very good.... and blue skies like those shown are real, just not all the time. I think they look great... my vote (if I were allowed to :) ) is to leave them in.

My monitor is color for a reason..lol

I like it with dynamic skies, I don't need no drab colors to make my day dull.

Before I say anything I urge you not to strke me down - it is just my subjective impression...
I think that the sky looks terrific, yet even if a trace too saturated for the terrain....maybe? hopefully??

Is that a gun you have there???

(if it were a loudspeaker my judgement would be 'a little too much coloration, stick a 2k resistor on the output')

I'm dead aren't I  :o  :o

I don't know how many of you have tried night golf but if you set the time to 0:00 in this video dynamic skies are on scattered, clear active weather on. So would be like playing at midnight. This game looks so much better with unity 5. The video isn't even close to how good this really looks. I also should have said that all sliders are maxed and everything is on highest settings.

Sky may be a touch blue, but it's better than being too white/grey as it currently is.
