A grade is Min/Min assist level

Round 1 is in the books and it was a 37-35=72 Min/Min BLI MS swing. Real tough getting back into Min swing after playing Max and scrambled most of the round but was real happy to come in where I did. Have to say felt much more rewarding than the opening 61 I shot last event at Max aids. Love this game.

Shot a 68
MS
A Grade
Even with the card after 13 holes. Could not get it going. Holed a bunker shot on 14 which got things moving. Played 15 and 16 very well and birdied the last. Just a great course. Took things carefully though.

Well round 3 in the books and it was a butcher job. 35-37=72 Grade A BLI MS Swing. To many missed short putts and a double at 13 was a mind killer but you own what you shoot and I own this baby. Will start final round shortly and finish tomorrow and then its off to vacation and hopefully I can go out on a better note than this. One thing I have will say that with the lower aids you must keep the ball in the short stuff as with the Max you can be in the rough and still score but not at Min. Great game.

Finally found a photo of the great Ted Ball - won 11 times on the PGA Tour of Australasia and won over 50 tournaments in his career. Chain smoking friend and drinking companion of Arnold Palmer. Lightning fast backswing which never went back higher than his waist and the same with his follow through. When asked about it he said that when he was young he figured to hit the ball a long way he should swing fast.
That's all. Carry on.

Hey Teddy - looks like it might be a small turnout this go-round.
Had an unreal first round - still playing 3C min/min, so Grade A.
R1 - 63 (-8)
Best shot was a 5I approach on 6 into the slope at the back of the green - rolled back to 5 ft (meant to do that). Birdie to get to -3. Putted real well and finished the front at -6 (no bogies).
Couple fo bogies on the back (10 & 16), hit driver/driver on 11th to within 11 ft for eagle. Approaches on 15 and 17 to within 2 ft (lucky bounces) - both birdies. Butchered 18 for just a par.
MJ green design and pin placements are some of the most evil and rewarding (when played well).

Great round JMK59. I really look forward to those greens with the backstops and inevitably I pull a shot into the rough out of excitement. But it goes to show that a low score is possible in A Grade when you use your head, get a bit lucky, persevere etc. It's not really as tough as you might think if you can get that swing in the groove.
A small turn out does not concern me at all. The important thing was to provide a place to compete at that level. It's great to have a score posted that gives us something to catch JMK. Love this track. Can't wait for the harder pins and I'm gonna start my charge soon. This I believe. Unless my charge fizzles. This I suspect.

Hey, I'm new but thought I'd play along. I've been playing for about a week now, lovin it!
I'd not played around with the assist levels before and found the min/min settings to be a little more responsive. Spent half the time on the beaches and even took a dip but overall great fun. Found that i had to take elevation into account more than with the default settings, which i liked, but not sure if that was just me paying more attention. Struggled with the long putts, I found when striking uphill there was very little room between still under-hitting and significantly over-hitting. But then that will teach me for not getting it closer to the pin.
Not a great score of +3, with MS but an enjoyable round where I'd have significantly outplayed myself on the course in person.
Might be able to pull it back if all the planets in the galaxy align at the same time I purchase tonight's winning Euromillions lottery ticket

Nothing wrong with that score BigDommo. Min/Min is very responsive - good definition.
Putting is putting. You will develop a personal formula. A little tip. (1) If you use bli allow length of the bli shadow to ascertain the break. That's as good as any advice. If you use the grid - count all the coloured lights and divide by the number of squares multiplied by the velocity of the general movement of said colored lights, (it's probably better to have a tacit knowledge of the bronstein cube) then make an assumption based on an overall synopsis then ignore all that data and discard any presumptions until you turn off the grid and simply go to advice number (1).
Crystal Pines has a lot of elevation changes - more than any course here I think. Have to use your nouse and makes club selection important.
Welcome and thanks for joining in.
