Physics Test Alpha Build Released

Perfect Parallel is pleased to provide an open Alpha of our physics engine in operation on our purposely built practice range. We have decided to provide this as an open alpha test as a thank you to everyone who has supported us as we have tried to move closer to seeing our own vision and reality come true. In future we will be providing much more alpha and beta content and we may make this content available through a mini kickstarter we will launch on this site.In this build there is no golfer and there is no swingmeter, but you can change all the values that are core to our physics engine within the game environment and you can also save your settings and load them again when you play.
For now this is available as a windows executable but we hope to release in MAC format and maybe even web format very soon.
Instructions can be found on the initial splash screen. As always we welcome your feedback.

I think SPIN AXIS is key forgive me for typing up all the junk without playing with the Physics Build more. On easy setting the Spin Axis could always be for example at 0 so that when the person uses true swing the ball will always go straight and there accuracy will be according to what club they use the winds lie etc. But then on more difficult levels the Spin Axis could be allowed to go as high as 10 or -10 in this range this would occur if in True Swing the person does not move the mouse exactly right it would allow for some deviation on the shot but only in the range from -10 to 10. so this would be like for example one difficulty level above Easy. Then on more difficulty levels the Spin Axis setting could have more variation from say -30 to 30. Then if the player messes up on the True Swing mouse movement the shots will go much further right or left. Or at the highest level from say -100 to 100 then however the person swings this will be where the ball goes but for me at this level I could not play it because unlike a caveman I am not a super pro with True Swing though it is the only way I like to play golf
And another tweak could maybe be to allow at all levels the % chance of an errant shot which would generate a random number each time a person swings and though they are on the easy setting and the Spin Axis is at 0 for all shots - in the event the player allows errant shots at say 10% of the time then if a random numer of 8 comes up and the numbers are 1 thru 10 then when an 8 comes up the Spin Axis for this shot goes to say 20 to -20 then if the person moves the mouse wrong for this shot then the ball would go spin axis 20 off course. ....

The Alpha download shows just how great the game's graphics can be. liked the way it was possible to move around the scenes, and when I got used to adjusting the settings it really did start to feel like the game will be very realistic. As mentioned earlier, the putting was a problem, as I could not get any speed across the green. Bounces off the trees seems a bit odd as yet, but I'm sure that will be easily adjusted for all variations e.g. off wood, or twig, or leaves to give a different effect. Can't wait until next stage and final game. Great stuff chaps
It won`t run for me, I have logged in and out of the website several times, adjusted my profile , logged back in and stayed logged in and typed in my username and password, click ok and nothing happens.

Any news on when the updated Alpha Test Physics Build will be made available?
I remember October being mentioned. Hopefully this doesn't mean 30th or 31st.
I can log in Ok but when I go onto main screen it just spins around, if I move my mouse to the left back and forth it slows the spin but if I stop moving the mouse it spins again, I am using a AMD Radeon HD5670 graphics card. I don't know if that's anything to do with my problem
I rebuilt my pc, now it tells me file cannot be found ?
Has the file been removed? I went to try to download it and it said "Can't find that"
